Food Grade PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is the only ingredient/component present in the product. PET in its natural state is a colorless, semi-crystalline resin*. The intrinsic viscosity of the material is 0.80 on average, in compliance with bottle A-grade resin specifications. PET bottles are found to be in compliance with the USA FDA 21 CFR 177.1630 (f) (1) & USA FDA 21CFR 177.1630 (g) (1) and is suitable for use in packaging, transporting, or holding foods, including alcoholic beverages at temperatures not to exceed 250F. Although Captiva Containers manufactures plastic containers for the food industry, it does not handle any allergens in any step of the production process. For that reason, Captiva doesn't have an allergen control program. Nevertheless, it does have a control program for all other materials and chemicals it uses.
