Linerboards: All linerboards and medium papers used to manufacture corrugated boxes are made from 100% recycled corrugated board (OCC) or recycled paper fibers. The white linerboard used at the LaSalle plant is composed of white recycled fibers and recycled corrugated board (OCC). White and kraft linerboards used to manufacture corrugated boxes at the LaSalle plant are approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for their use as secondary food packaging material and as packaging material for dry food such as fruits and vegetables. All linerboards used at the LaSalle plant to manufacture corrugated boxes are also in compliance with the FDA (United States' Food and Drug Administration) in regards with the usage of corrugated boxes as secondary food packaging material. CONEG: Kruger Packaging L.P — LaSalle plant has obtained the confirmation from its suppliers that lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium were not intentionally added in the components used to manufacture corrugated boxes. Kruger Packaging L.P — LaSalle plant’s suppliers have also confirmed that the components supplied are in compliance with the requirements of the Model Toxics in Packaging Legislation (CONEG). The inks used to print corrugated boxes are water based and comply with the requirements of the CONEG Packaging legislation regarding the absence of intentionally added cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead and mercury. Allergens: Kruger Packaging L.P — LaSalle plant does not intentionally add any of the following allergens to its products: • Milk • Crustacea • Sesame • Eggs • Shellfish • Peanuts • Mustard • Fish • Tree Nuts • Soybeans Kruger Packaging L.P — LaSalle plant may manufacture or use paper and board containing wood recycled fibers processed in the commonly used sulfite and wheat pulping process. The starch and glue used to manufacture corrugated board and boxes meet or supersede Canadian requirements concerning direct contact with food products. These requirements include division 23 of the « Canadian Food and Drug Act and Regulations » and the « United States Code of Federal Regulations », 21 CFR Part 178.3520 concerning food packaging.
