In accordance with the U.S. Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (Section 201 of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act), and the EU Directive 2003/89/EC, the following substances are defined as “allergens”: milk, egg, fish, Crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, soybeans, mustard, celery, sesame seeds, wheat, and gluten, and sulfur dioxide and sulfites at concentrations of more than 10 mg/kg or 10 mg/liter expressed as SO2. We do not intentionally add any of the food substances listed above during the manufacturing of Liquibox flexible packaging. Furthermore, to the best of our knowledge, “allergens” -as defined by U.S. and EU food safety regulations- are not present in the raw materials used to manufacture Liquibox flexible packaging. This information is based on documentation provided by our raw material suppliers, which we believe to be reliable. We do not analyze our products for the allergy stimulating food substances in question. However, Liquibox manufacturing sites maintain a SQF 2000 Level 3 Certification, a HAACPbased food safety certification that requires good manufacturing practices and an Allergen Control Program.
