O Ácido Cítrico é produzido por fermentação submersa de fontes de glicose obtidas do açúcar da cana com uma cepa selecionada de Aspergillus niger. Este produto é fabricado com ingredientes não alérgenos, organismos não geneticamente modificados e solventes/substâncias voláteis não orgânicos. Produto levemente higroscópico, funde a 153 °C (307 °F) e decompõe a CO2 e H2O a >175 °C (347 °F).
