The Aji Paprika Chile is the pepper that is most commonly used to make the ground spice "paprika" that is often used as a garnish on deviled eggs or hummus. A large, red chile that is native of Hungary, it provides great visual interest to a dish as well as a slight red pepper flavor. While Hungary boldly claims this pepper, the Turks originally brought it to their country in the 16th century.
