Aseptic Orange Pulp Cells (720-07, 968-07)

Fine orange pulp is comprised of orange pulp cells that have undergone an additional cutting process to reduce the amount of whole, intact pulp cells. The pulp and juice have been stabilized to reduce enzymatic and microbiological activity. Fine pulp cells contain a significant percentage of floating pulp. Only sound and mature Early Mid and/or Valencia oranges (Citrus sinensis) were used for the production of fine orange pulp cells, without addition of pulp cells from other species or GMO species. The fruit used was properly washed, graded to remove unwholesome fruit, and sanitized prior to processing. The fine orange pulp cells comply with the recommendations of the FAO/WHO Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA), the FAO/WHO Joint Meeting on Pesticide Residues (JMPR), the specifications from the Codex Alimentarius Commission, and any other requirements defined by local food regulations, consistent with its intended use.
