WATER Local tap water available at the North Haven, CT site. Meets requirements of the EPA, DEP, and local state regulations per quarterly tests. PAPER Paper roll stocks purchased from mills in the US and Canada; ingredients are wood cellulose pulp formulated into virgin kraft paper and mixed to varying degrees with recycled content pulp from post-industrial and post-consumer waste. GLUES Water based high performance quick cure formulated emulsions used to glue together box flaps. Not considered hazardous per OSHA 29CFR1910.1200 and meets composition requirements of indirect food additive regulation 21CFR175.105 for adhesives. STARCH Pearl C corn starch used for bonding of papers and mediums during corrugation. Aqueous based, and FDA approved for a packaging adhesive. Mixed on site with local tap and recycled water. INKS Water based inks which are acceptable for printing on the outside of food packaging provided there is a functional barrier to the migration of ink components (such as the fluted medium and inner face of corrugation sheets). This is in compliance with FDA regulation 21 CFR 170.c(e) (1) definition of food additives.
