Carbon Dioxide (Food Grade Carbon Dioxide 99.9%)

The liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2) supplied by Continental Carbonic Products, Inc. meets the specifications listed in the Food Chemical Codex (FCC) for carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is also listed in 21CFR184.1240 as Direct Food Substances Affirmed as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS). Continental Carbonic Products, Inc.’s dry ice does not contain any allergens or other substances that would cause intolerances. We do not intentionally add these component(s) to carbon dioxide and would not expect them to be present in carbon dioxide. Continental Carbonic Products, Inc.’s Allergen Control Program controls the access of allergens to our dry ice which makes contact with our customer’s RTE product by only allowing outside food and drink to be consumed in a designated employee break area where employees must wash their hands before returning to work. Additional requirements include a plant-wide ban on latex and a ban on nut based cleansers. The threat of allergens were considered while reviewing each of our critical control points in Continental Carbonic Products, Inc.’s HACCP plan and our Allergen Control Program is validated annually by a 3rd party auditor.
