Non-GMO CardioAid® Plant Sterols is derived from vegetable oils. Structurally similar to cholesterol, phytosterols have been foun d, in studies, to reduce the absorption of dietary cholesterol, which can impact serum cholesterol [Mayo Clin Proc 78:965 -78 (2003); AJCN 74:33-43 (2001)].
