Cold Pressed Orange Oil (OLA001)

The peel oil, or essential oil, is located at the pericarp of the fruit, in small bags. The extraction of this oil is made by a cold process, so the product is also called Cold Pressed Oil. The extraction is made using the same machinery for juice extraction JBT extractors. The oil is taken using a water spray that produces an emulsion of 1 to 3 % oil. This emulsion water/oil is pumped to a first centrifuge that concentrates the oil mixture to 70 to 80% of oil. This one goes to a second centrifuge that will polish the product resulting 100% oil. This product is kept at low temperature for a time necessary to separate the wax that may be present.
