Concord Grape Essence (CONCORD GRAPE ESSENCE (NATURAL FLAVOR))

Concord Grape Essene is made from 100% Concord grapes. Processing and filtering aids are required to clarify all Concord grape juices and concentrates. These include up to 0.045% of an NOP pectinase and up to 2.5% filter aid (diatomaceus earth or perlite.) Enzymes are added to the mash to remove the natural fruit pectin and starches in their fruit. Since the enzymes are NOP, they do not contain any GMOs. All enzymes used are certified Halal and inactivated by the heat of pasteurization and the heat of evaporation used to produce a high brix concentrate. After being decanted, only the juice is sent forward to be filtered, where the filter aid is filtered out. Concord grape essence is stripped from Concord Grape juice as it is heated creating both a high-brix concentrate and a Concord grape essence. Annually we test each fruit commodity for metals and pesticides from an independent lab. Results are available upon request.
