RIBOFLAVIN UNIVERSAL is a yellow to orange-yellow free-flowing powder that is practically odorless and has a bitter taste. It melts at about 280°C with decomposition. RIBOFLAVIN UNIVERSAL is produced by fermentation using a genetically modified micro-organism and is purified and free of detectable DNA. It is more soluble than conventional riboflavin in water and in HCl. RIBOFLAVIN UNIVERSAL is fairly stable to air if protected from light and humidity. It can be used for the enrichment of products and for the coloration of light-protected products in liquid and powder form. RIBOFLAVIN UNIVERSAL meets all requirements of the USP, FCC and Ph.
