Based on the information available from our raw material suppliers and our knowledge of the product composition, the BASF product listed above does not contain, as an intentional additive, any of the “major food allergens” currently defined by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at 21 U.S.C. § 321(qq)(1-2)), which are: (1) “Milk, egg, fish (e.g., bass, flounder, or cod), Crustacean shellfish (e.g., crab, lobster, or shrimp), tree nuts (e.g., almonds, pecans, or walnuts), wheat, peanuts, soybeans and sesame;” (2) “A food ingredient that contains protein derived from a food specified in paragraph (1),” with certain exceptions.
