All wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. contain sulfites and are labeled to contain sulfites. ASV Wines, Inc. does not produce sulfite –free wines. The sulfur concentration of all wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. is less than 350 g/L; this applies to all wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. regardless of appellation, vintage, lot number, varietal, etc. Sulfur is added to wine at several different stages in the wine making process for the following purposes: to arrest fermentation, and also as a preservative that protects against spoilage caused by oxidation or spoilage caused by spoilage organisms. Sulfites are not added to wine for flavor reasons. Sulfur is the only allergen present in the production of wine. There are no other allergens, and allergen cross contamination in not a concern in the winemaking process as sulfur-free wines are not produced and there are no other allergen risks win the production of wine
