Polydextrose (PDX)

Polydextrose is a soluble prebiotic fiber and a premium low-calorie bulking agent used to provide body and texture in reduced-calorie and low-calorie foods. It is easy to use in a variety of applications to replace all or part of the sweetener solids and replace full caloric bulking agents in those formulations. Polydextrose is a randomly bonded condensation polymer of D-glucose with some bound sorbitol and a suitable acid.
