All wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. (Winery Location: 31502 Peterson Road, McFarland, CA 93250) contain sulfites and are labeled to contain sulfites. ASV Wines, Inc. does not produce sulfite-free wines. The total sulfur concentration of all wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. is less than 350 mg/L per 27 CFR 4.22(b)(1). This applies to all wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. regardless of appellation, vintage, lot number, varietal, etc. Sulfites are added to wine at several different stages in the wine making process for the following purposes: to arrest fermentation, as a preservative that protects against spoilage caused by oxidation or spoilage organisms. Sulfites are not added to wine for flavor reasons. Sulfites are the only allergen present in wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. There are no other allergens used in our winemaking process, and risk of allergen cross contamination is not a factor. All wines produced by ASV Wines, Inc. are made from grapes, and do not contain any dairy, animal ingredients or animal by-products. Specific ingredient information is not legally required for natural formula wine products as stated by the U.S. government’s Tobacco and Alcohol Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). ASV Wines does not provide official, detailed ingredient information.
