ProTherm (Corrosion Inhibitor ProTherm)

ProTherm is a concentrated fortified blend of industrial corrosion inhibitors and performance additives that are typically used to boost corrosion inhibitor levels in non-GRAS heat transfer fluids, such as OneTherm and other similar products. This nitrite-based product is less sensitive to water hardness. While ProTherm is not an antifreeze, it is compatible with propylene and ethylene glycols, and glycerin antifreezes containing NO inhibitors or those with similar corrosion inhibitor packages. When used as recommended, this product not only stabilizes system fluid pH but also offers corrosion protection to typical metallic and non-metallic components used in hydronic systems that contain multi-metals among them aluminum, cast iron, carbon steel, mild steel, stainless steel, and copper. ProTherm has low toxicity profile (essentially non-toxic) courtesy of the relatively low toxicity and levels of the non-GRAS components. As such, it may be registered with the NSF under category code HTX-2.
