Sodium Bicarbonate (VP-22)

This letter confirms that Natural Soda is the manufacturer of the following grades of sodium bicarbonate: USP #1, USP #2, USP #5, IND #5, IND #3, FCC, TFF, Industrial and Feed. The ingredients in sodium bicarbonate are: sodium bicarbonate. Trace impurities may be present depending on and in accordance with the purity requirements for each grade of sodium bicarbonate. The sodium bicarbonate at Natural Soda is produced without chemical conversion. The only additive found in any of the final products produced at the NS facility is in a specialized product known as TFF grade. This grade is specially produced by adding a small amount of the free-flow agent tricalcium phosphate during packaging. Natural Soda utilizes three processing aids: DG XTL-5 (crystal habit modifier), calcium chloride (crystal habit modifier) and DG M235 (defoaming agent). The DG XTL-5 ingredients are 40% sodium olefin sulfonate, 1% sodium sulfate, the remainder is water. There is no expected residual of the DG XTL-5 in the final product. The calcium chloride is food grade and is expected to have less than 100 ppm of residue on the final product. The DG M235 is a poly glycol, food grade defoaming agent. Testing indicates the DG M235 may have approximately 100 ppm of residue on the final product.
