Food Allergens With one exception, Eviosys and our material suppliers do not intentionally use food allergens as specified in Annex II of Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 or the US Food Allergen Labelling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (FALCPA) in the manufacture of the food contact components of our products. The one exception is the use of Casein (milk protein) in some can end sealants. However, the can end sealant is buried inside the end double seam so contact with the foodstuff is extremely limited. Testing has demonstrated that there is no detectable migration of Casein from the surface of can end sealant into food simulants even if there was any exposure of the simulant to the food.
