Quality Assurance, Cedar City Facility Letter of Guarantee / Certificate of Conformance February 15, 2023 • Resin HDPE o All resin used to manufacture food grade containers meet the FDA Requirements 21 CFR 177.1520(c) 3.2a use conditions B through H per 21 CFR 176.170(c). These regulations state that copolymer may be safely used as articles or components of articles used in packaging or holding food at low or room temperature. • Colorant o Color concentrate used to produce a colored food grade package meets FDA Requirements 21 CFR 178.3297 (Pigments); 21 CFR 178.2010 and 21 CFR 178.3570 (additives); and 21 CFR 177.1520 (Resin). These requirements deal with colorants for polymers used in food contact applications. • Covers Gasket o The black rubber compound used to seal the cover to the pail meets FDA Requirements 21 CFR 177.2600. • Closures – Fittings o The fittings used on the cover meet the FDA Requirements 21 CFR 177.1520. • Reduction of Toxics in packaging law o We certify that the regulated metals – lead, mercury, cadium, and hexavalent chromium -- were not intentionally added to any package or packaging component during the manufacturing process. o We further certify that the sum of the incidental concentration levels of lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavlent chromium present in any package or package component does not exceed 100 parts per million by weight. • Bisphenol A o The HDPE resins and colorants used by BWAY Corporation’s manufacturing facilities in the production of molded plastic pails, covers, tighthead containers and bottles are free of Bisphenol A. • Kosher or Halal o We are not specifically Halal or Kosher certified, but we are not in conflict with either one.
