Ascorbyl Palmitate is a lipophilic derivative of L-Ascorbic Acid. Unlike water-soluble vitamin C, it readily dissolves in oil phases and effectively penetrates lipid-rich skin layers. It exerts powerful antioxidant effects by neutralizing free radicals, inhibits lipid peroxidation, brightens uneven skin tone and stabilizes cosmetic formulations against oxidative deterioration. Approved as a legal food antioxidant, it also prevents fats & oils from rancidity to extend shelf life in edible oil, baked goods and fat-based food systems.
