Soybean Oil (110000 series)

The Food Allergen Labeling & Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA) in the U.S. mandates labeling of all ingredients derived from commonly allergenic foods, including soybeans, with the exception of highly refined oils. Owensboro Grain Edible Oils produces (RBD) Refined Bleached Deodorized oil derived from crude and degummed soybean oil. The RBD oil is highly refined and processed through refining, bleaching, deodorization, and filtration, to a point where the protein cannot be detected in measurable amounts in the finished product, thus removing allergens. Third party testing of Owensboro Grain’s RBD oil show protein results below detection limits. Owensboro Grain Edible Oils is a single line dedicated facility that only manufactures soy derived product, no other allergens are used in the production process. Wheat and corn are also handled at the grain handling facilities. Gluten (wheat) may or may not be present in the crude or degummed oil, however, third party gluten testing (ELISA) show results below detection limits in finished product.
