Azucarera Paraguaya S.A declares: For the production of organic sugar, the ingredient used is registered and certified sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum). Sugar is the crystallized product obtained through the traditional stages of clarification, evaporation, and crystallization of sugarcane juice. Only processing aids approved by the relevant certifying bodies are used in its manufacture. As a natural part of the same process, organic molasses is obtained, a liquid byproduct resulting from the concentration of the juice and separation of the sugar crystals. Molasses preserves the inherent characteristics of sugarcane and contains no additives or substances foreign to the traditional production process.
