Soy Free Statement Background In the proprietary, patented, processes developed and utilized by Chemi S.p.A. in its manufacturing plant to produce these specialty health benefiting ingredient products, highly purified fractionated, high phosphatidylcholine (PC), derived from Glycine max (soy) phospholipid is used as the starting material. This material is composed essentially of phospholipids only with a small fraction of natural oils, and residual soy proteins are undetectable due to their absence. Additional proprietary processing steps employed by Chemi S.p.A., ensure there are no traces of residual protein present in the specialty ingredient compounds below, and hence they are soy free. In addition, Chemi Nutra consulted with FDA on this soy topic, and accordingly, it is FDA’s expressed opinion, in providing their expert guidance, that the specialty ingredient products listed below are soy free and thus are exempt under the FALCPA regulation (2004).
