FOOD ALLERGEN CONTROL POLICY
We realize that some food components can cause an allergic or food intolerance response in sensitive individuals. These reactions can range from mild to extremely serious. We have implemented the following controls in order to avoid cross contamination and to comply with our HACCP program:
1. All ingredients listed as allergenic are isolated and stored away from all other food ingredients or packaging materials.
2. All equipment is cleaned and sanitized after each run with proper documentation.
3. Products with listed allergens are run last.
4. All rework is controlled with proper batching documentation. Prescribed
cleaning and sanitation steps are followed.
5. If an allergen is used in a product it is listed as an ingredient on the label and
a supervisor verifies the label. This is a CCP and is handled as described in our HACCP program.
