Our patented process extracts the functional components of the rice bran (lipids, proteins and complex carbohydrates). These components provide binding of water and oil as well as dough conditioning characteristics. Organic Nu-BAKE® is all-natural and is subject to seasonal and variety variations in nutrient analysis, color, taste and aroma.
In Food Applications: used as a dough conditioner
“Organic Rice Extract” or “Organic Rice Bran Extract”
RIBUS conventional or organic Rice Bran Extract (brand names Nu-RICE® and Nu-BAKE®) is composed of Rice Bran plus three processing aids: Calcium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, and Enzyme.
Please note that Calcium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, and Enzyme are exempt from labeling under Title 21 CFR Section 101.100 Food; Exemptions from Labeling (3) Incidental additives (ii) Processing aids (c): “Substances that are added to a food for their technical or functional effect in the processing but are present in the finished food at insignificant levels and do not have any technical or functional effect in that food.”
