Roundish, firm, crisp, sweet, ripe when orange to reddish color. Eat it fresh out of hand or slice it for fruit trays or salads. After 3 weeks it will gradually soften like the Hichiya variety and may be used for cooking. Short window availability for this special fruit Mid October to Mid November.
