Our Organic Kombu Flakes are made from Saccharina latissima, a brown seaweed sustainably ocean-farmed in the pristine waters of the Gulf of Maine. After harvest, the seaweed is gently air-dried at low temperatures to preserve its nutrient content, and then milled into uniform flakes without the use of additives or preservatives.
Kombu is naturally rich in iodine, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and glutamic acid, making it an ideal ingredient for enhancing flavor and nutrition.
