REFINERY SYRUP (REFINERY SYRUP)

ALLERGEN STATEMENT: CAMI “1,000” TYPE (REFINERY SYRUP). The purpose of this letter is to let you know that our production lines are designed for exclusive handling of raw materials from natural sources and the processing of products using only the inherent raw materials of every process, and cross contamination with other materials is unlikely. On the other hand, there is a list with ingredients and raw materials which produce allergenic reactions in humans which WE DON ́T USE in our process: a) Big allergen foods.- peanuts, crustaceans, egg, tree nuts, fish, wheat, mustard, sesame, sunflower, fish, shell fish, mollusks. b) Foods responsible for sensivity reactions.- sulfites, seeds (cotton), yellow # 5, MSG, antioxidants, colorants, synthetic sweeteners and flavors. In the case of milk, this is a raw material for some of our products and it is stored separated, however, they are not present in the product and they are not processed in the equipment used for CAMI “1,000” type (Refinery syrup), in addition, we have implanted in our facilities procedures for reception, identification and segmentation, cleaning and sanitization of areas and equipment (based on wet cleaning operations) in order to avoid cross contamination, employees are trained once a year on proper allergen procedures and awareness and are dedicated to the dairy processing area, they are required to change clothes and have limited travel paths through the plant; and finally a verification procedure with allergen detection kit which identify milk protein in equipment surfaces with a detection limit of 5 ppm. A particular case is barley, which contains gluten, it is the main raw material for malted barley and malt extracts; that products are processed in the same equipment; in these equipment a wet cleaning and sanitation procedure is performed before starting production of CAMI “1,000” type (Refinery syrup), The effectiveness of the wet cleaning and residual in product is monitored via Elisa gluten testing which detects 10 ppm maximum of gluten.
