The processing industry relies on the cleaning process to sort grains and oilseeds prior to further processing. The cleaning process relies on the physical properties of the grains and oilseeds, such as seed size and shape to enable sorting. While the cleaning process is proven to reduce levels of unintended presence of trace amounts of unwanted grains and oilseeds, it may not entirely eliminate them.
