APRICOTS, TURKISH, WHOLE #4 (F13)

APRICOTS, TURKISH, WHOLE #4 product image
Although their origin is often disputed, we believe that Apricots originated in mountainous northern China, and from there spread to the Middle East and Europe, and eventually to the New World. Today Turkey is the world's largest apricot producer. Apricots are related to peaches, but are smaller and smoother with a sweeter, more mellow flavor. Fresh apricots have a very short growing season and are very fragile. Use dried Turkish Apricots to incorporate apricots into dishes all year long. Ideal for baked goods, salads, sauces, stuffings or hot cereals. Apricots are a great source of vitamin A and beta-carotene.
Apricots, sulfur dioxide(to maintain color), potassium sorbate. Although apricots have been pitted, they may contain the occasional pit. Contains sulfites.
