IQF Tomatillos (Physalis philadelphica) are made from fresh, clean, sound and firm pods of common commercial varieties of tomatillos. The tomatillos are inspected, washed, diced, blanched and then individually quick-frozen. The product is packed and then held at temperatures necessary for the preservation of the product. This product is manufactured as an ingredient and is not considered ready to eat. Further processing is necessary.
