The Pasta should be a golden yellow colour, characteristic of pasta manufactured from Durum Semolina, Milled from 100% Canadian Amber Durum Wheat. It should be free of checking, clumping and extraneous matter, and should have a clean appearance with a minimum of visible brown and black specks. It should have a typical wheaty flavour, and with no off flavours or odours. The Pasta should conform to the requirements of the Canadian Food and Drugs Act and regulations while being manufactured in accordance with the code of Practice General Principles of Food Hygiene as published by the Health Protection Branch.
