CHERRIES, TART, SLICED (F83)

Tart Cherries, also known as sour cherries, are beloved as an ingredient for desserts like pies. Grown for centuries, cherries are currently prized for the nutritional value of their antioxidants. Drying fresh tart cherries reduces their volume by about 6 to 8 times. Drying removes the moisture from the fruit, concentrating its tart, sweet cherry flavor but leaving behind all the nutritional value. We dry and sweeten plump, piquant U.S.-grown tart cherries to a pleasant slightly chewy texture with true, mild tart cherry flavor. Sliced Tart Cherries are a readymade addition to snacks, salads and cereals.
