Vertera Velvet (6135001)

Vertera® Velvet is a protein modifying enzyme. Plant proteins have limited solubility and functionality. Protein deamidase enhances the solubility of proteins through a process called deamidation. During deamidation, the enzyme targets glutamine residues in proteins, converting them into glutamate. This increases the number of negatively charged carboxyl groups on the protein, changes the charge of the protein, and thereby improves its solubility and functionality.
